What happens when your Aria Suite licenses expire?
Aria Operations
For versions before 8.16, when the license expires, Aria Operations immediately goes into Restricted Mode: no UI access, but data collection continues. You must apply your new license via the prompt on the UI to once again access the product.
For versions 8.16 and newer, if you're using VVF/VCF licensing, you are given a grace period of 60 days during which all functionality remains. After that, Operations will go into Restricted Mode as described above. You must apply your new license via the prompt on the UI to once again access the product.
Documentation can be found here.
Aria Operations for Logs
When the license expires data is still collected and you can still access the product, but several key features are disabled:
Analyze Logs
User Queries
Log Forwarding
and more...for a complete list check the documentation here.
Aria Automation
When the license expires you'll lose access to the Automation UI, but all deployments will remain active. You must apply an active license via Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager or via this KB to gain access once again.
And just for good measure, let's include Aria Operations for Networks, which gives customers 90 days once their license expires to apply a new one, details here. After that, data collection stops and Operations for Networks goes into Restricted Mode, restricting users from accessing the UI until they provide a new license.
